Introduction:

An EV is a shortened acronym for an electric vehicle. EVs are vehicles that are either partially or fully powered on electric power. Electrical vehicle (EV) innovation has acquired prominence because of its higher proficiency, less maintenance, and lower dependence on non-renewable energy sources or fossil fuels. Electric vehicles have the potential to greatly reduce air pollution from transportation. They also are less expensive to own and operate over time.

About Numl Electric Vehicles Club:-

The main theme of our social action project is “Environment sustainability”. It pertains to Sustainable development goal 13 “Climate Action” which states that the environment is the first priority, which should be priorly saved. Pakistan has already been declared as the seventh most vulnerable country due to the effects of climate change. Burning more fossil fuels, including oil, may only deteriorate the situation further

OBJECTIVES:-

The core objectives of this social action project are:

❖      To highlight and make people aware of hazards of petrol vehicles on the environment and human health

❖      To make people aware of the affordable transportation, as cost of electric vehicles is much lower compared to petrol, diesel, CNG.

❖      To highlight the climate goals and breathing new life into Pakistan’s economy

❖      To highlight and create an understanding of NEVP (National electric vehicle policy), their targets and incentives

❖      To make people aware of the significance of EV’s

❖      To reduce greenhouse gas emissions

❖      To highlight the scope of EV industry, their potential in creating employment opportunities and various green businesses.

 

MAIN MOTIVE:-

❖      The main motive behind our project is to create awareness in people regarding the importance and benefits of electric vehicles. As EV’s are the dire need of the present time, it is crucial at this stage to know about the environmental, health, and economic problems. And to shift towards the vehicles which are more environmental and pocket friendly.

 

❖      To accomplish the desired goal, team Numl EV Club, had meetings and webinars with different authorities and individuals according to their working domain and need.

 

❖      To promote electric bikes use as daily transportation

 

Above all else, on account of Allah Almighty for his countless blessings and for giving us everything we needed to finish this project effectively. We made it conceivable through the help from the Department of Governance and Public Policy (GPP), NUML University Islamabad. We would like to express gratitude toward Dr. Athar Rashid (Assistant Professor, Dept. GPP NUML Islamabad) who gave us significant knowledge, support, and guidance throughout the project.
