The team cybersecurity for youth also
prepared a NUML first cybersecurity policy this policy is a preliminary draft. The
NUML cybersecurity policy is
a written document outlining how to protect the organization from threats,
including computer security threats, and how to handle situations when they do
occur. A security policy must identify all the university assets as well as all
the potential threats to those assets. NUML University has a total of nine campuses in which
Islamabad main campus have 668 faculty 876 admin staff and student 14556.
Peshawar campus 68 faculty 1229 students 34 admin staff. Lahore campus 114
faculty 2217 student 39 admin staff. Faisalabad Campus 44 facility 783 students
16 admin staff. Multan 61 faculty 1144 students 29 admin staff. Hyderabad 34
faculty 558 students 15 admin staff. Karachi 47 faculty 371 students 14 admin
staff. Quetta 11 faculty 169 students 8 admin staff. Gwadar 2 faculty 11 students
and 7 admin staff. Improved cybersecurity policies can help employees and
consultants had better understand how to maintain the security of data and
applications.
Cyber
security enables confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information by
providing protection against malicious and accidental threats. Cyber security
threats take advantage of weaknesses in technology, people, and processes to
harm information. The University (NUML or the University) manages cyber
security risk to safeguard its mission and protect the interests of the people
whose personal information it holds.
This policy established NUML’s cyber security risk
management and responsibilities and is based on the principle that cyber security is everyone’s business. Management of
cyber security risk requires a concerted effort across all of NUML and cannot
be considered just an aspect of information technology.
