Policy Inputs from different departments:
Meeting with Dean of Management Sciences:
On 13th December, 2021, we had a meeting
with dean of management sciences Dr. Naveed Akhtar, regarding policy suggestion
for the Numl EV policy. It was a great meeting, where he shared his views about
importance of electric vehicles in Pakistan, where there is a rising concern on
environmental needs and economic problems. Respected dean shared his kind
suggestion of making an electric charging station at the university parking, so
as to motivate students, faculty and other members in shifting towards use of
Electric Vehicles.
Meeting with HOD
(English department):
On 14th December, 2021, we had a meeting
with hod of English department (Zawar Hussain), regarding policy suggestion for
the Numl EV policy. The meeting was fruitful as we were guided with different
and fruitful suggestions for Numl EV policy. Sir Zawar shared his brilliant
view that firstly Numl should introduce its first electric bus in the campus.
The introduction of electric bus will surely motivate students in switching
towards EV’s. Moreover, he added that in order to promote and make use of EV’s
sustainable, university should provide a time frame to students, in which they
make it mandatory for students and staff to shift towards E-bikes/bicycles or
any EV transport according to their ease.
Meeting with HOD (Arabic
Department):
On 20th December, we met HOD of Arabic department. Respected HOD gave his kind suggestion on policy, in which he described that Numl should devise loan system, by collaborating with Askari Bank, for students and other faculty members. So it will become easy for students and other staff members to shift towards adoption of EV’s in the campus. He also added that university can also go for collaboration with energy organizations like Neeca, so the charging infrastructure can also be provided to university.
