MEETING WITH HOD OF ECONOMICS FOR POLICY SUGGESTION

The story of meeting with HOD of economics BEGAN. We had another meeting with HOD of ECONOMICS (PROF.SAQIB ALI) & (DR.SHAHID) PROF OF GPP DEPARTMENT. This activity is about the meeting which was occurred on 21st Dec with HOD of economics department. We took their kind suggestion regarding energy consumption technique. He talk about the installation of such software devices through which we can see how much lights are glowing in the room or even the whole department. These devices also have itself system of turning on or off of those lights. Instead of it, he high lightened the need of behavioral change among university community. For e:g the attitude of humans in public universities are different as compared to private universities regarding energy consumption. In public universities it is consider that energy is a matter of concern of government as there is no consumer cost, no utility burden in turn the behavioral outcome of the people within the university is not good. On the other hand, in private universities the head of the university pay consumer cost. In order to avoid the utility burden they take certain energy reducing steps in form of rules and regulations. NUML is also a public university and the behavioral problem is also present at there.  He appreciates this initiative of our supervisor (DR ATHAR RASHID) and whole SAP team. At this day we also took suggestions with teachers of governance and public policy department named “DR SHAHID HABIB”. He read our proposal and policy draft with a keen attention. At the end, he also gave his suggestions on energy conservation.
