NUML SDG SCOUTS VISIT TO BAHRIA UNIVERSITY
Introduction:
NUML SDG'S SCOUTS are a group of students from the Governance and Public Policy department NUML Islamabad. NUML SDG’S Scouts work on the Sustainable development goals commenced by the United Nations in 2015 with the aim of achieving them by 2030. We work on SDG as a project supervised by assistant professor Dr. Athar Rashid. The aim of NUML SDG’S Scouts is to Aware, educate and train youth regarding United Nations Sustainable development goals agenda 2030.

Preliminary Section:
Working on the aim NUML SDG’S Scouts have visited Bahria University. We were provided with an official permission letter from our Governance and Public Policy department NUML, Islamabad. Professionalism demands getting Permission and an Appointment for an event before making it happen. As NUML SDG Scouts, we visited Bahria University with an official permission letter from GPP department NUML to conduct an awareness session regarding the Sustainable Development goals agenda 2030. First of all, we made communication with the administration of Bahria University to take permission to conduct an awareness session regarding the UN Sustainable Development goals agenda 2030. The administration praised our efforts and a short discussion has taken place about the event. We have convinced them to allocate us an appointment for making our event happen at their university.
Awareness Session:
On the day of the seminar, every member of NUML SDG'S SCOUTS was clear-headed to be aware, educate and train the youth regarding the UN Sustainable Development goals agenda 2030. After reaching there, the group Leaders met with the respected HOD of Environmental Sciences at Bahria University. A discussion took place for 10-15 minutes in which they discussed sustainable development goals and the purpose of visiting Bahria University. After this fruitful discussion, the respected HOD allocated us a class to conduct our seminar.

The awareness session started according to the decided time in which our group members gave a presentation about Sustainable Development goals to the students of Bahria University. At the end of the discussion, we took questions from the audience and gave them related and authentic answers according to our knowledge and capacity. The students were curious enough to know about Sustainable Development goals which they proved through their participation in the session.

Ambassadors to NUML SDG’S Scouts:
NUML SDG scouts made student and teacher ambassadors from the department of environmental sciences of Bahria University. SDGs Ambassadors are the representatives of NUML SDGs SCOUTS. Their purpose is to spread awareness regarding Sustainable Development Goals and to expand the working of SDGs Scouts in their respective institutions. SDG’S Scout ambassadors will contribute to the promotion and implementation of Sustainable Development Goals. SDG’S Ambassadors have a significant role in spreading awareness of SDGs in society with the aim of” No One being Left Behind.”
Appreciation:
In the end, the staff and the students who were part of the audience appreciated our efforts. Our deliverance about Sustainable Development goals was good enough to make an impact in Bahria University which was praised through the appreciation letter to us by the HOD of Environmental Sciences. The Respected HOD of Environmental Sciences and the staff members made sure to provide NUML SDG Scouts a platform in the future whenever needed.

Awareness Walk:
Finally, a great Awareness session was concluded in the form of an awareness walk at the university. In this awareness walk, NUML SDG Scouts Provide relevant information about Sustainable Development goals to students at Bahria University which helped them to get an in-depth understanding of Sustainable Development goals.
Conclusion:
As NUML SDG’S Scouts, we help students get an in-depth understanding of the sustainable development goals of agenda 2030. Through presentation, awareness walk, and other activities NUML SDG’S Scouts made an impact by playing their role in spreading awareness and teaching the students about the United Nations sustainable development goals agenda 2030.
