SDGs AMBASSADORS

PURPOSE OF MAKING SDGs AMBASSADORS:

SDGs Ambassadors are the representatives of NUML SDGs SCOUTS. Their purpose is to spread awareness regarding Sustainable Development Goals and to expand the working of SDGs Scouts throughout the institutions of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. We have selected a few students from each of the institutes we visited. They are the representatives of SDGs Scouts in their respective schools, colleges, and universities.

PROMOTION & IMPLEMENTATION OF SDGs:

SDGs SCOUTS AMBASSADORS will contribute to the promotion and implementation of Sustainable Development Goals. We will work in collaboration by spreading awareness in the schools, universities, and colleges of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. We will also arrange webinars, seminars, and numerous activities to involve young students in the 2030 agenda. SDGs AMBASSADORS have a significant role in spreading awareness of SDGs in society with the aim of No One being Left Behind.

AMBASSADORSHIP THROUGH GOOGLE FORM:

We got our university ambassadors selected through the google form we provided them. Interested volunteers have filled out the form as Student and Teacher ambassadors, respectively. We divided the ambassadorship into four different categories:

  • Student Membership

  • Student Campus Ambassador

  • General Membership

  • Teacher Campus Ambassador

They were given this choice in the form to select their mode of membership. As a whole, we got 48 responses to our google form. Out of these, 12 memberships are from Bahria University, where we conducted a seminar and an awareness walk. Detailed progress of this campaign is in the following graphics.

AMBASSADORSHIP THROUGH CREATIVE ACTIVITIES:

We also conducted Awareness Campaigns and Seminars in various schools and colleges. In these institutions, we selected our student ambassadors by executing different activities. We divided the students into groups and asked them to share their ideas to overcome the challenges of Sustainability. They created various innovative ideas on chart papers and A4 sheets. After that, we announced the winners of the activity and selected them as our SDGs Ambassadors. We provided them with badges of SDGs Ambassadors as a gesture of appreciation and acknowledgment. We will involve them in our upcoming activities regarding Sustainable Development Goals. We have also planned a visit to the National Assembly regarding Sustainable Management. We will take the SDGs Schools Ambassadors along with us to the National Assembly to educate them more about the working of SDGs at the National level.

Together we will attain the agenda for 2030 by achieving sustainability in social, environmental, and economic aspects because:

Where there is unity, there is always victory.
