National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Social Action Projects is a unique program as it is a manifestation of the commitment of NUML, its faculty and its students to play their role in providing service to the disadvantaged in the community. This Social Action Project (SAP) is an integral and mandatory Community Service Program which is part of the 4 year undergraduate program in Public Administration and Governance at NUML.
VISION
The vision of NUML Social Action Projects is to involve students in Community Service Program to develop awareness about the cultural, economic, environmental, and social issues of the community.
AIM
The Social Action Projects or Community Service Program aims to inculcate volunteerism and a keen sense of social responsibility towards the underprivileged in order to enable students to become catalysts for change.
OBJECTIVES
- To engage students in community service activities.
- To provide an opportunity for career development and skill development for students.
- To engage students in service projects that meet the needs and environmental concerns of the larger community and challenge them as they are actively developing, both cognitively and psychosocially.
- To demonstrate the importance of civic responsibility and empower students to engage in active citizenship even after graduating.
